Father Stephen Hallick (Ukrainian Orthodox Lifetime Achievement) Award
Award presented
Outstanding work toward accomplishing the aims and goals of the League
In 1957, the Orthodox of the Year Award Program was created by St. Vladimir’s Senior Chapter of Cleveland to recognize a lay member of the League for their accomplishments in furthering the aims and goals of the League. The Award originated as an achievement based on a year’s accomplishments, and in 1991 was changed to a Senior Recognition Award. In 1995, the award was given the name of the Father Stephen Hallick Lifetime Achievement Award to honor the lifelong role Father Hallick has played in the molding of the UOL.

Metro J. Baran Achievement Award
Award presented
For outstanding service with the Youth of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church
The award was instituted to honor the memory of Metro (Jimmie) Baran for his many years of dedicated service and efforts in working with the Juniors of the Ukrainian Orthodox League. Mr. Baran organized the Junior UOL and served on the National Executive Board as Regional Chairman, Vice-President, and Junior League Chairman. The purpose of the award is to recognize, with honor, a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA who has done truly outstanding work with the youth; directing, counseling, training, or educating the Junior members of the Ukrainian of the Church; preparing the youth as future church leaders.
